Free tax prep services available
The deadline to file your 2024 tax return is Tuesday, April 15. By now, you should be able to access your Form W-2 in myUFL or ONE.UF, or you should have received it in the mail if you did not consent to access it electronically.
In Gainesville, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, or VITA, and AARP Tax-Aide Alachua County offer free tax preparation services to qualified individuals. Visit the Alachua County Library District website for VITA and AARP locations. Not in Gainesville? Visit the IRS website to find a free tax preparation service near you, or file your taxes online through the IRS Free File program.
A recording of our tax webinar with UF/IFAS Family Consumer Sciences Agent Halie Corbitt, along with additional resources to help you file your taxes, are available on our YouTube channel.
