Center for Humanities and the Public Sphere’s “Intersections” website, proposals

The Center for Humanities and the Public Sphere has announced the launch of a new website, “Intersections: Animating Conversations with the Humanities,” as part of its three-year initiative to support the integration of humanities perspectives and methodologies into general education and advanced courses that address “grand challenge” questions.

The initiative, which is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, seeks to identify shared research interests across the humanities at UF in order to connect humanities scholarship to other disciplines and to support resulting interdisciplinary work.

The center invites proposals from groups of faculty members from all colleges who have an interest in participating in interdisciplinary working groups rooted in the humanities. The deadline for proposals is April 2. Learn more.
