Explore ways to enhance your retirement savings  

With tax season upon us, now is a great time to review your voluntary savings plans to ensure you’re optimizing your contributions. In addition to the mandatory state retirement plans, you may participate in voluntary Fidelity 403(b) and 457(b) Florida Deferred Compensation plans to supplement your retirement income via payroll deductions. These plans are open to all UF employees and have no employer contribution. They also accept rollovers from other retirement plans.

Benefits Open Enrollment ends Oct. 31  

Open Enrollment for 2026 benefits runs now through Friday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. It’s tax time — be on the lookout for your W-2 and 1095-C forms 

By January 24, employees who provided their consent should be able to access Form W-2 in myUFL or the ONE.UF application.

Any changes you made during the annual open enrollment period will be reflected on your December and January paychecks.

Explore Spring training opportunities

UF Training & Organizational Development has released its Spring 2025 schedule of courses. In addition to exploring courses thematically via the UFHR website, you can also visit the digital training calendar to view at-a-glance upcoming trainings scheduled throughout the month.

Search within the calendar for specific courses — for example, Conversations for a Culture of Belonging, a course that teaches you how to increase engagement, innovation and productivity in the workplace.

Preparing for upcoming UF holidays and time off

Review upcoming fall and winter holidays so you can begin preparing for—and looking forward to—your time off.

Holiday leave cash-out period runs Oct. 28 – Nov. 7 

Each year, full-time UF TEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave before the holiday season, provided a minimum of 40 hours remains on balance. This year’s leave cash-out period runs from Monday, Oct. 28, through Thursday, Nov. 7.
