Celebrate the season of love at the University of Florida
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s time to start making plans with that special someone. Whether you’re putting together a romantic date for two or planning the perfect Galantine’s get-together, UF offers a variety of special events and attractions to help you celebrate the season.
Events
Coming up on Feb. 11, join Florida Fresh Dining for a Valentine’s Dinner at Arredondo Cafe, located in the Reitz Union on the fourth floor. Make a reservation by Feb. 6 to enjoy a delicious three-course meal with full bar service available. Visit the Florida Fresh Dining website to view the menu and learn more.
Join UF/IFAS Extension Agent Nelly Nelson Feb. 12 at noon for a workshop that will help you elevate your relationship. From effective communication to conflict resolution and relationship strengthening strategies — register with your partner to learn new skill that will have a lifelong impact.
The UF Carillon Studio is hosting its annual Valentine’s Day concert Friday, Feb. 13, at 6:15 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Invite your friends and family, or bring along a blanket and picnic basket for a more romantic experience.
Looking for a plan that’s out of this world? Join the UF Department of Astronomy for a romantic night of stargazing at the teaching observatory. Open Fridays at 8:30 p.m., visitors can observe the Moon, planets, stars and other astronomical objects through professional telescopes at no cost.

The Harn Museum of Art will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Valentine’s day. Explore select exhibits, unwind in the museum gardens or shop for that special someone at the museum store.
Want to put your own artistic skills to the test? Swing by the Reitz Union Arts & Crafts Center from 12-5 p.m. on Valentine’s Day to purchase paints, button making materials, paper crafts and more!
Head to the Reitz Union Game Room next and go head to head with your date at bowling, foosball, pool, air hockey and more. Open 4-11 p.m. on Valentine’s Day.

Wrap up your day of love with a relaxing sunset picnic at Lake Alice, near the UF Bat Houses. Arrive before sunset to secure your viewing spot and watch as 450-500,000 bats take to the night sky.
