UFHR wants to hear from you!

I hope the holiday break provided you with ample opportunity to reset and recharge. A new year and a new semester offer opportunities to start fresh, and our UFHR team is harnessing our strategic focus to highlight two key areas in 2023: 1) organizational culture and performance, and 2) service excellence.

Out of the gate, we are undertaking a thorough assessment of our website to ensure it meets the needs of our modern workforce. We are looking forward to “cleaning out the closet,” so to speak — dusting away some cobwebs, keeping what “sparks joy” and ditching what no longer serves our current and prospective faculty and staff community. (Ok, not everything we keep will necessarily spark joy, but you get the point.)

To help ensure the website is the very best it can be, we need to hear from you. You can help improve our site for all faculty and staff — current and future — by sharing your valuable insights and suggestions. To do so, we invite you to join our Website Improvement Group.

What exactly does this mean? We know you’re busy, and the last thing you need is another commitment, so we’re keeping it as simple as possible.

As a participant, over the course of the next 5-6 months you will:

• Complete an initial survey (approximately 10-15 minutes).
• Participate in occasional — approximately five — “card sorting” and testing activities, guided by user-friendly, online tools.
• Provide us with periodic feedback.

That’s it! To sweeten the deal, we’re also offering gift baskets from the UF Bookstore to five participants to be drawn at random from those who complete all phases of the feedback requested.

We hope you’ll consider participating.

Wishing you a Happy New Year and a wonderful spring semester.

Thank you,

Melissa Curry
Interim Vice President for Human Resources
