COVID screening no longer required for employment
In response to the decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, the University of Florida has removed its screening requirement for employment. While current employees will continue to receive email reminders encouraging them to complete a screening questionnaire should they begin to experience symptoms, the screenings will not be required at any point.
With the start of Summer B, both meeting size and physical distancing requirements returned to pre-pandemic standards. While masks are still required within UF Health hospitals and other patient-facing clinical facilities such as dentistry practices and veterinary hospitals, masks are optional elsewhere in the workplace and on campus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends those who have not been fully vaccinated continue to wear masks.
