Get your flu shot this season—not the flu
Flu season is here, which means it’s time to get your flu vaccination.
Flu shots are available from the main campus (Infirmary Building) and Health Science Center (Dental Tower, Room D2-49) as well as at Student Health Care Center outreach events across campus. Please note that flu shots available at the Health Science Center are by appointment only. View the full schedule and locations here.
You can also receive your flu vaccine at the upcoming Benefits and Wellness Fair on Monday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Champions Club at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. You must present both your Gator 1 card and your valid insurance ID card to obtain a flu shot at no out-of-pocket cost at any of these locations.
Flu vaccine can keep you from getting the flu, make flu symptoms less severe if you do get it and prevent you from spreading the flu to your family, friends, colleagues and others. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone 6 months of age and older get the flu vaccine every year, which includes protection against multiple strains.
You can also make sure to wash your hands regularly to help prevent the spread of germs this flu season and year-round.
