RecSports research shows the relationship between GPA and usage of recreational facilities

A recent study conducted by UF and Texas A&M determined that students who use collegiate recreation facilities at a higher level are three times more likely to have a high GPA than those who use the facilities less. The study was co-authored by UF RecSports Associate Director Marty Dempsey, Student Affairs Assessment and Research (SAAR) Director Dr. Shaun Boren, SAAR Data Management Analyst Qichen Li and Texas A&M University Senior Data Scientist Rajeeb Das. The results verify prior research that showed high users of collegiate recreation facilities are more likely to also have high academic achievement.
