Spreading misinformation with careless sharing

UF CJC assistant professor Jinping Wang, Ph.D., and a team of researchers analyzed 35 million Facebook posts and discovered that approximately 75% of the news links shared are reposted without the users ever reading the content. This phenomenon, questions the quality and veracity of online discourse and the spread of misinformation.
