Celebrating National Native American Heritage Month

November is National Native American Heritage Month, a time to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people while celebrating their rich and diverse cultures, traditions and histories.

Ways you can learn more

Visit an archaeological site on campus, the most notable being the Timucua Burial Mound, located near the UF Law School. Although the mound was largely destroyed for agricultural purposes prior to the 20th century, remnants of the mound were excavated by UF archaeologists in the 1970s.
