Racial trauma has many academics oscillating between fight, flight and freeze responses. Beginning Feb. 10, Della V. Mosley, Ph.D., UF assistant professor of counseling psychology, will host a series of workshops under the theme of “Cultivating Compassion & Collectivism.” Dr. Mosley will describe the connection between trauma, healing, compassion and collectivism, and introduce and guide participants through practices that help cultivate compassion and collectivism as a means to help facilitate healing from racial trauma.
The series is sponsored by the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD), of which UF is an institutional member. If you do not already have an account, you can activate it by visiting facultydiversity.org/join and finding the University of Florida in the drop-down menu.
