Jerry Uelsmann: A Celebration of His Life and Art
Between 1960 to 1998, photographer Jerry Uelsmann taught at UF and helped establish one of the first fine art photography programs in the United States. Uelsmann — a much celebrated and beloved UF artist, teacher, colleague and friend locally, nationally and internationally — passed away on April 4, 2022.
To commemorate his life and work, the Harn Museum is presenting a new Harn-curated exhibition, Jerry Uelsmann: A Celebration of His Life and Art. Laid out in chronological order, the exhibit features 37 Uelsmann photographs from both the Harn collection and his archive in Gainesville.
