Maintaining a drug-free workplace

The University of Florida strives to provide a drug-free workplace environment for its faculty, staff and students — and these commitments are reflected in our policies as well as the protections and support provided to those who may need it.

The federal law known as the Drug-Free Workplace Act requires UF to maintain a drug-free workplace. The university is committed to providing a campus environment free from the abuse of alcohol and the illegal use of alcohol and drugs. To enhance this commitment, UF has adopted and implemented programs that seek to prevent the illicit use of drugs and the abuse of alcohol by university community members. To learn more, see UF’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy

If you have questions or concerns relating to these HR policies, please visit the UF Employee Relations website to learn more and to find contact information for the central Employee Relations or the Employee Relations Satellite Office that serves your area.
