Ben Sasse named finalist for UF’s 13th president
The UF Presidential Search Committee has unanimously recommended United States Senator Ben Sasse, Ph.D., as the sole finalist for consideration by its Board of Trustees who will select the 13th president of the University of Florida.
Sasse has had a distinguished academic career — earning a Ph.D. from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University — and spent five years as the president of Midland University, where he is widely credited with transforming the institution. Three open forums are scheduled today starting at 1:15 p.m. Visit the Presidential Search website for more information.
