Making earth science accessible

Earth science degrees often require a physically taxing, six-week camping trip far from medical care and even electricity. With a National Science Foundation grant, UF Geologist Anita Marshall, Ph.D., launched GeoSPACE, an accessible field camp that’s opening geosciences to people who might not fit the mold of the mountain-scaling explorer conquering the wilderness.
