UF/IFAS helps keep local farmers in business

Owned by local dairy farmer Kevin Lussier, Lussier’s Hawthorne Creek Creamery is the last commercial dairy in the county — delivering cheese to Spurrier’s, Cypress and Grove and Publix. Thanks to his partnership with UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Director Cindy Sanders, Ph.D., Lussier was able to expand his business and become a better farmer.
