It’s the holiday season!

Throughout the month of December, UF faculty and staff have access to a number of special holiday offers and events. To kick off the holiday season, we’ve compiled a list of upcoming promotions and events right in our backyard.

Don’t miss the Poinsettia sale, enjoy discounts from the University Press of Florida and the Florida Museum, get your tickets for Sounds of the Season at the Phillips Center and don’t forget about UF’s GatorPerks discount program as you plan your holiday shopping, travel and entertainment. 

  • The University Press of Florida Holiday Book Sale offers the perfect gift for every reader. Order with code XM22 for discount prices and $2 shipping through Dec. 16. Orders over $50 will also receive a free tote bag while supplies last.  
  • Come celebrate the end of the semester with the lighting of the Holiday Gator on the lawn of the University Auditorium — Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. Enjoy seasonal treats, music, and more with your Florida friends and family.
  • Don’t miss the Faculty & Staff Appreciation Event at the UF Bookstore, Dec. 1–2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The Florida Museum is hosting a UF faculty and staff appreciation day on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m. UF employees may show their valid Gator1 cards for one free admission to the Butterfly Rainforest and Science Up Close: Fantastic Fossils exhibits and receive a 10% discount in the Museum gift shop! Florida Museum members may also enjoy a 20% discount at the Collectors Shop from Nov. 27 through Dec. 18. 
  • UF School of Music presents Sounds of the Season, Sunday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Phillips Center. This event is free and open to the public. 
  • Journey through the musical traditions of the Christmas season with Norwegian brass ensemble tenThing, Dec. 6 at the Phillips Center. 
  • Mark your calendars for the 2022 Poinsettia Sale, Dec. 8–9. 
  • Dance Alive National Ballet and PNC Foundation present The Nutcracker, Dec. 17–18 at the Phillips Center.
