Highlights from the Employee Benefits & Wellness Fair

More than 1,800 faculty and staff learned more about their benefits options and wellness resources at the 2019 UF Benefits & Wellness Fair, which was held yesterday in the Champions Club at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The fair featured 60 tables representing UF’s many benefits and financial planning vendors and a range of wellness organizations dedicated to providing an enhanced quality of life for UF’s faculty and staff.

At the fair, faculty and staff also had the opportunity to learn more about ALEX, UF’s online benefits counselor. So far this calendar year, ALEX has had nearly 10,000 visits. Visit ALEX today if you haven’t already to learn which 2020 benefits plans are best for you, and then be sure to enroll in your benefits at myUFL and/or People First.

Fighting fraud in the final days of Open Enrollment

During the last few days of Open Enrollment, please remember to be vigilant about spam and phishing attempts by email and by phone. To protect yourself, remember to never give out personal information over the phone, unless you initiated the call and are certain you reached the correct telephone number. Also, never send Social Security numbers by email. Contact your insurer directly if you are uncertain whether a call or email is genuine, and please be cautious about clicking on email attachments or links that could contain viruses.
