Parking decals expire May 1: Options for getting new decal

All UF and UF Health Shands faculty and staff parking decals will expire on May 1. Please order your new decal by April 15 to ensure you receive it on time and avoid parking citations.

There are four ways to get your new decal:

  • Online payroll deduction (recommended): Benefits-eligible UF and UF Health Shands employees purchasing decals by payroll deduction may order online and will receive their decals in the mail.
  • Online credit card: All UF and UF Health Shands employees, including OPS employees, may order online and pay by Visa or MasterCard and will receive their decals in the mail.
  • By mailed check: UF and UF Health Shands employees wishing to pay by check may complete and mail in an order form to UF Transportation and Parking Services, P.O. Box 112400, Gainesville, FL 32611. They will receive their decals in the mail. The order form is located here.
  • In person: UF and UF Health Shands employees can also purchase and receive their new decal in person at the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) Customer Relations Office at 1273 Gale Lemerand Drive.

Due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed by Congress in December 2017, employee parking costs in 2018 are no longer a deductible expense, meaning they are now subject to Social Security (or FICA Alternative for participating employees), Medicare and Federal withholding taxes.

Please remember that you will not receive a new decal until all parking citations are paid. Through 5 p.m. on April 6, UF is forgiving all unpaid parking citations issued by TAPS from April 1, 2017, through April 1, 2018, if you donate a minimum of five (not expired) items from the Field and Fork Food Pantry list and bring them to the TAPS office.
