New semester, new opportunities: Enhancing the UF employee experience

The start of a new semester is always an exciting time at UF. The campus comes back to life with students moving into their dorms, faculty rushing between classrooms, and the reassuring presence of our staff, working diligently to ensure everything runs smoothly. Few can resist the energy of a new school year and the promise it holds for a fresh start.

Our team in UFHR has been working hard to enhance the employee experience and foster a greater sense of welcome and belonging for our faculty and staff from day one. Last week, we hosted a New Faculty Welcome & Resource Fair, where we welcomed new faculty and connected them with key departments across UF to help them begin their journey with us. 

We have also improved the UF Engaged process by gathering feedback from faculty and staff across campus, updating our training courses, and testing the new system to ensure a seamless transition that will foster performance and professional development. 

Additionally, we continue to expand and improve the UF Employee Assistance Program (EAP). I encourage you to explore the revamped EAP website, where you will find resources to support you as you navigate life’s challenges.
