UF Champions for Change Awards celebrate achievements in sustainability, health and wellness
UF’s Office of Sustainability and the Healthy Gators Coalition recognized nine individuals and groups during the annual Champions for Change awards ceremony as part of Campus Earth Week earlier this month.

For his success and distinction in research, teaching and extension – not least of which includes spearheading UF’s new Honey Bee Research and Extension Laboratory – Professor Jamie Ellis of the IFAS Department of Entomology and Nematology was awarded the Superior Accomplishment Award for Academic Personnel last year.

UF’s 2019 Superior Accomplishment Awards program nomination period will run through Oct. 31 and will recognize outstanding work that occurred between Aug. 1, 2017, and July 31, 2018.
