A few updates regarding UF’s COVID-19 response

As we enter the first full week of the spring semester, the number of cases of those who have tested positive for the omicron variant of COVID-19 continues to rise. UF researchers are optimistic that these numbers will peak this week — earlier than originally predicted. Learn more in this article published by UF’s Emerging Pathogens Institute, updated Jan. 5.

A few quick updates and reminders:

  • Testing will continue to be available at Gate 7 of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will also be available on Sunday, Jan. 16, and the MLK holiday on Monday, Jan. 17, from 1 – 4 p.m. Schedule an appointment via ONE.UF.
  • Faculty can check their course rosters to determine if students have been cleared to be on campus.
  • If you are not feeling well, please stay home, working with your leader to take leave or to work from home, as appropriate. For guidance related to your health, please contact your primary care provider and/or the DOH at UF at (352) 273-9790.
  • Guidance for faculty and staff who have tested positive or are a close contact of someone who has tested positive continues to be updated based on CDC guidelines.
