COVID vaccines available ahead of Florida Atlantic game

Through a collaborative effort between UF Health and the University Athletic Association, fans will have the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccine before the Florida football team takes on Florida Atlantic at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4. UF Health Screen, Test & Protect will have two vaccination sites: one in front of the Stephen C. O’Connell Center and another at Gate 12 of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, which is located on the east side. The locations will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Alachua County announces COVID vaccination incentive program

The Alachua County Commission has authorized a COVID Vaccination Incentive Program for the month of September. The county will give a $25 gift card to individuals for each COVID-19 vaccination they receive. The gift cards will be available at the Florida Department of Health in Alachua County as well as participating area businesses.
