Does your department accept volunteers? We want to hear from you!

In an effort to better support University of Florida volunteer programs, UFHR is developing a volunteer policy to improve compliance with the university’s longstanding Volunteer Regulation. In anticipation of the new policy, which will go into effect January 2020, UFHR is partnering with volunteer programs and UFIT to develop a new system that will centrally track individuals representing the university in a volunteer capacity.

In preparation for the introduction of the new policy and system, UF volunteer coordinators and volunteer program leads are encouraged to send the following information to volunteer@hr.ufl.edu:

1. Name of the Program (If the program does not have a name, please provide the nature of the program.)
2. Unit/college in which the program is housed (college, department, etc.)
3. Name and contact information of the person coordinating the program

In the coming weeks, UF will provide further information about the new tracking system and how departments can use it to better track their volunteers and to ensure they are complying with regulations.
