Double deductions for nine- and ten-month employees begin Feb. 12

Nine- and ten-month employees will have double deductions taken from their paychecks for benefits Feb. 12 through May 7. These deductions ensure coverage for state health, life and supplemental insurance continues during the summer. Standard payroll deductions will resume in September.

Graduate assistants with an active nine-month appointment enrolled in a GatorGradCare spring plan will also have double deductions taken to cover their summer plan if they are enrolled in one. Graduate Assistants with an active 12-month appointment will not see double deductions during this period.

Double deductions are not taken for other GatorCare and UFSelect health plans.

Nine- and ten-month employees who experience a pay interruption during this period should contact UFHR Benefits either by phone at (352) 392-2477 or by emailing benefits@ufl.edu. A benefits team member will be available to provide guidance and discuss potential impacts to your existing coverage.
