Employing federal work-study students can bring substantial savings to departments
UF departments have access to a talented pool of federal work-study (FWS) job applicants with diverse personal, academic and career interests that can meaningfully contribute to meet a department’s needs. FWS provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, enabling them to earn money to help pay for educational expenses. Since most of the cost of employing an FWS student is federally-funded, work-study students are also a budget-friendly way to meet your needs.
To learn more about the benefits of FWS and how to add an FWS position to your department, contact Student Financial Aid and Scholarships at SFA-FWS@mail.ufl.edu or (352) 392-0296.
UF students Noah Seppanen and Lise Carla-Honore, pictured above, value both the monetary and collegial support they have received through their FWS positions.
