Wellness events in May include final cooking series installment, College of Dentistry 5K

By on May 3, 2018

The last Field and Fork Spring Cooking Series event, “Totally Tomatoes,” will be held May 18. Join UF Field and Fork Program Director and Campus Food Systems coordinator Anna Prizzia, along with UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Dietetics students, as they demonstrate how to make delicious and healthy recipes using peak produce. To learn more or find out how to register, visit the Wellness section of the UF at Work website.

If you missed last month’s “Spring Snacks and Sauces,” you can view three cooking demos from the event on the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences’ Facebook page. You can also view the comments section to download each recipe.

While you’re at it, don’t miss the UF College of Dentistry’s 5K fundraiser, “Running for a Mission 5K.” This fundraiser supports trips to the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Jamaica, during which College of Dentistry staff provide critical dental care to underserved populations.

The event, which will take place May 19 on UF’s campus, will feature free breakfast, music, giveaways, games, entertainment, shirts for all athletes while supplies last and more. To learn more or to register, visit the Facebook event page.
