Discover support for your well-being this semester

The fall semester is an exciting time filled with new routines as well as stressors that can affect our health and overall well-being. We hope you’ll take time to explore some of the UF-sponsored programs designed to support your well-being throughout this semester and beyond.

UF Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program

Interested in participating in an area CSA program? The first 100 faculty and staff who sign up for the UF CSA program will receive a discount on the price of a share from either Frog Song Organics, Siembra Farm or Ben Wells Produce. By joining a CSA, you can support a local farm and receive a weekly or biweekly box of high-quality produce. Pickup and delivery options are available in multiple Florida counties.

Find the support you need to navigate life’s challenges

The UF Employee Assistance Program offers free therapy sessions to UF employees and their spouse or domestic partner. Employees can benefit from six free sessions per year per issue. The EAP website was also recently updated with an expanded list of resources.

In addition, employees can now schedule an appointment with one of three dedicated therapists, who are available for both in-person and virtual sessions.

Faculty & staff fitness classes

Looking to add some movement into your day? Participate in a free fitness class for faculty and staff! Classes are held in-person and are open to all fitness levels at no cost throughout the semester.

  • Cycling: Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. in the Student Recreation and Fitness Center.
  • Yoga: Tuesdays from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. in the Ustler Hall Atrium.
  • Zumba: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. in UF Health Professional Park building.

If you can’t make it to campus, there are a variety of live-streamed and on-demand classes you can participate in virtually — from stretching and yoga to cardio, dance and more.

Noom and Calm

Subscriptions to the Noom and Calm apps are still available. Faculty and staff are invited to sign up for the app that best meets their needs.

Noom: A psychology-based program that features daily articles, food and exercise logging, one-on-one goal support and peer groups for additional support.

Calm: A mindfulness app that features pre-recorded audio content designed to help manage stress, anxiety and insomnia. Each subscription covers up to five dependents.
