UFHR welcomes new director of employee relations and engagement
Robert Cancellieri, JD, recently joined UFHR as its new director of employee relations and engagement, overseeing UF’s comprehensive employee and labor relations program and strategy for faculty and staff. Cancellieri served for many years as an attorney whose work focused primarily on labor and employment matters in both the public and private sector. Most recently, he served for six years as the director of employee relations at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
Last fall, former Employee Relations Director Brook Mercier was promoted to UFHR’s assistant vice president for human resources. In his new role, Mercier continues to oversee the Employee Relations area as well as University Benefits. Mercier previously held roles in UFHR as its associate director of employee relations and as associate director for classification and compensation as well as manager of employee relations for both the Health Science Center and Facilities Services.
