Benefits Open Enrollment runs Oct. 10 through Oct. 28

Open Enrollment for 2023 employee benefits will take place Oct. 10–28. UF’s annual Open Enrollment period is your opportunity to add, change or remove benefit plans for the next plan year. Elections made during this period will take effect on Jan. 1, 2023. This is your only chance to make changes to your benefits each year outside of qualifying status events, so don’t miss this opportunity.

Here are a few ways you can prepare for Open Enrollment:

Review and update your People First and UF mailing address information though ONE.UF to ensure timely delivery of Open Enrollment materials. Instructions to update your address can be found here. You can also save time and space by opting into electronic notifications through the People First website. Log onto People First > Contact Information in the Quick Links Section > Notification Email > Edit to select what information you would like to receive electronically.

Review information on the state’s myBenefits and UFHR Benefits websites for insurance plan details, enrollment information and more.

Have your People First ID (PFID) and password ready. To locate your PFID, log onto the myUFL portal and navigate to: Main Menu > My Self Service > Benefits > PFID & Beneficiary Info. People First passwords expire every 90 days. To reset yours, log onto the People First website and follow the “Forgot Password” instructions. For further assistance, call 1-866-663-4735.

Keep an eye out for annual benefits statement from the State of Florida which will be mailed to your home address, emails from UFHR Benefits and additional UF at Work articles. You may view annual benefits statement online. To view your Insurance Benefits Statement, log in to the People First website, select the Insurance Benefits tile on your Employee landing page, then select Insurance Benefits Statement. Note that only state-sponsored plans will be listed in this statement; any UF-sponsored plans you participate in will not be reflected.

Mark your calendars for the Benefits and Wellness Fair! After a two-year hiatus, UFHR’s Benefits and Wellness Fair is back at the Champions Club on Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your benefits and the wellness resources available to UF employees.
